Over 500 Women Gained Livelihood and Financial Independence
In 2023, Kiruhura Women Development Agency (K-WIDE) achieved a major milestone by providing hands-on skills training to more than 500 women across Kiruhura District. These trainings equipped women with practical skills in income-generating activities, enabling many to start their own small businesses and improve their families’ economic stability. This achievement not only enhanced women’s financial independence but also strengthened their confidence and leadership within their communities. Through this initiative, K-WIDE continues to advance its mission of empowering women and girls for self-dependency and sustainable livelihoods.
